Rather than exert the hard power of coercion or violence in our efforts to change the world, Soft Power focuses on reconnecting to our creativity.
It’s through creative expression that we remember our true nature, shift how we engage with the world, and co-create the future.
Last July, we (Flo, Dr. Kiki, Midori, Siobhan & Willa) gathered you all to share the news that we officially joined forces as a founding team, answering our call to co-steward the Soft Power Frequency.
We’ve been collaborating as artists and facilitators since 2021, holding intuitive dreamers and cyclebreakers through rituals of care, creative expression, and soul reclamation. We’ve been eachother’s doulas, transforming together and deepening in relationship as friends and collaborators alongside many of you reading this.
We stepped into this with the level of optimism required to do something as bold as found an organization with 5 of your Instagram mutuals. It has been a beautiful, challenging, expansive, and healing dance to build an organization that embodies our shared values and doesn’t replicate the systems we desire to create beyond.
First Year Milestones
July 2023 - became co-founders & held our kickoff friends & family event
December 2023 - traveled to Grass Valley for our first team retreat
March 2024 - received gift to commit to full-time roles for 6 months
April 2024 - traveled to the Kingdom of Hawai’i; commitment ceremony
June 2024 - crystallized organizational foundations together in Oakland, CA
Now given all the celebration and milestones, it may surprise folks to hear that we just came to agreement on our vision statements and role descriptions a week ago, our website is still in progress, and some days the line between optimism and delusion can feel blurry.
Building something we’ve never seen before is abundant with possibility, but it can also be the biggest roadblock at times. There is no hierarchical decision maker, we all hold responsibility, and moving at the speed of trust is not the most harmonious with the pace of late state capitalism.
The Soft Power founding story is as much about confronting inheritances of scarcity and hard power as it is one of magical friendship and ancestral reclamation.
I can only speak for myself, but it’s been a trip to feel so green co-founding an organization while also realizing the ways I seem to have been preparing for this role my entire life. Its also a trip to experience the resistance in my body to receiving the blessings of Soft Power, because generations of survival and playing small are still alive in my dna and nervous system.
But this is why we joined together to found Soft Power: so our network of artists and healers could continue to show up by mutually resourcing one another through community and co-regulation.
It is healing so many layers of my being to pursue this call alongside peers equally committed to building the liberated paradigm. After years of collaboration, mentorship, and receiving from this community, I can confidently say this collective holds some of the most powerful and innovative leaders of our generation.
Extra special shout out to our team doulas Jasmine Saba, Alexx Temeña, Camille Onaga, BA Thomas, and Yadi Lumbreras for their guidance and care.
This is all a long-winded way of saying THANK YOU to everyone in the field for your support and patience as we breathed through the big contractions needed to birth this organization so it can last beyond our individual careers and lifetimes. The vision is big <3

Returning this August
Tapped In will return to Soft Power TV in August with a refreshed format and more conversations for the artists building the worlds of our dreams. (Listen to Tapped In on Spotify)
Dr. Kiki and n4than have some major things lined up for the Soft Power Choir, including a live performance opportunity we can’t wait to announce (spoiler alert: Southern California, come sing with us this Fall?)
Virtual gatherings including Movement Cafe, Birthing Liberation, and Co-Working are the heartbeat of the Soft Power Universe and we look forward to bringing them back for another season.

Village in the Sky is a virtual playground for connection, co-regulation, and communal care and it’s ALMOST HERE! The Village will feature curated, multi-sensory environments for connecting with the body, breath, imagination, voice, intuition, and beyond.
It’s the Soft Power Frequency supported by the new organizational infrastructure designed to provide a more well-rounded, sustainable experience for both facilitators and community members.
You’ll be able to chat with other creative worldbuilders on our Discord channels and RSVP for monthly events with our founding creators all in one place.
Our commitment is to provide a soul-sensitive space for people to receive intuitive, informed care in a communal setting so they can navigate their daily lives with more peace and support. This is not a training or certification. It’s an ecosystem for connection and a village of people riding the waves that come with devoting ourselves to liberated lives.

Library of recorded classes by our collective of creative and healing arts practitioners
In order to sustain this vision, there will be a sliding scale membership fee of $15-55 with financial aid available. No one will be turned away due to their financial means.

This Friday July 12th, everyone will be removed from the server and be re-invited when doors open to our waitlist in August. We’re confident this is the change we need for our community to thrive in the ways we imagined when we began a year ago. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
The waitlist invitation will include founding member pricing and benefits which will not be available after the launch, so be sure to complete the Village in the Sky Interest Form by 8/1/24 so we can show our appreciation.
