TONIGHT: Party at the Village in the Sky

Hi Alchemists,

Let’s time travel back to 2020. We were experiencing the first wave of COVID, and I was in the thick of my Saturn Return (iykyk!).

Everything in my life was churning — I was newly unemployed, awakening to to my queer identity, and the partnership I had built for over a decade was dissolving before my eyes.

I remember crying in desperation to my first mentor at the time, feeling an insatiable spiritual longing and desire for a community of folks who were unsatisfied with consensus reality and were actively rebuilding their lives.

I knew the Ancestral Algorithm heard my prayers when

popped on my timeline. She was hosting virtual gatherings online, and the first time I logged into that Zoom portal I was floored.

Flo hosted the Spiritual Kickback of my dreams: 40+ people of color on Zoom, a fire playlist, heartfelt & tear-fueled storytelling, and a facilitated live meditation that changed my life.

It’s also wild to realize that those virtual gatherings were what incepted the relationships of the Soft Power nucleus team — Flo’s virtual events and their invitations for collaboration are what began building our collective as we know it today.
