Celebrate the final moments of the Year of the Dragon and join Soft Power TV for our debut drag show - Drag-In Frequency! Featuring performances by SoCal favorites Reese S. Pianis and Bytch Nastee.
This is a stage for the professionals and the amateurs because drag is for EVERYONE and we are bringing you a spectrum of talent and experience to tell the story of what the Year of the Dragon has shown us about owning our power and stepping into creativity as currency for our ancestors.
In an effort to continue protecting our community against Covid-19 and other air-born illnesses, as well as expanding access for queer events to our rural and global siblings, this is a virtually streamed show on our Twitch channel. It is free to attend and we encourage you to have your digital currency ready to tip performers and participate in our raffle!
Performer Lineup 🌟
Dr. Kinky (he/him) is a fierce warrior protector ⚔️ of {inner} children & dreamers who dare to believe in abolition and collective liberation. His powers are in martial arts, making the revolution seductive, and singing his siren song 🐚 for the demise of colonialism. He is guided by two red dragons & accompanied by his black cat familiar, Leila.
Tim Mick Raw (he/him) is a country hearththrob, pop punk daddy, and sexy twink all rolled into one…confident…package 😜 After taking a performance hiatus, he’s ready for the spotlight and bringing you range like you’ve never seen before! He is thrilled to be hosting alongside Dr. Kinky and producing with the Soft Power Team to bring a performance as homage to the Dragcestors that paved the way for us all to create and celebrate subversive art against an oppressive system that will not win ❤️🔥
Reese S. Pianis (They/Them) is a drag deity gifted with a rather large pianis, and while they like to show it off sometimes, they’d rather not rely on their size 📏 to show you what masculinity means to them. In fact, these days they enjoy playing with their softer side. Whether it be with their pianis, or as a pianist serenading you on the keys 🎹, they’re here to show you a good time!
Bytch Nastee (he/him) is a gender-fluid being that’s been weaving drag with his burlesque since 2019 🥸. Father of the Nastee family and best known for his mesmerizing eye-fuckery 👀 , expect your jaw to be on the floor, thirsty for more when Bytch brings his iconic moves to the stage.
Miss Cherry Wu (she/her) is on a mission to reclaim ancestral pleasure through her charisma and cvntiness. From being a shy, anxious, studious good girl that hid behind books and caretaking, she’s ready to break the mold and melt away generational shame and embody her erotic power through sensuality, play and performance. Let’s turn up the heat and free the creative spirit with Miss Cherry Wu aka Priestess Wu.
Lapuz Lazuli hails from the nether regions of the universe. The liminal spaces where the void meets the light. It’s here that you’ll find Lapuz tuning into the guidance of moonlight. Surrounded by abundance and nourishing delight. Emanating sounds and visuals that offer insight into worlds that exist beyond the binaries of left and right. Performing a ritual of release thru movement, sound, and words that strengthen our inner peace.
Monarch Freakwency (they/them) is a cosmic butterfly 🦋 cowgirl goddexx who is here to fly around the world sharing the medicine of metamorphosis thru soft power, singing & self-expression. Their performance at “Drag-in Frequency” will tell a story of how their reunion with their biological father led to a deeper embodiment of self, embracing their queerness and calling in the community that is now the Church of Soft Power 🙏
MX BAO BEI (any/all) is a gender-fluid, shapeshifting priestess of the underworld. Wielding the raw depths of her emotional landscape, MX BAO BEI exorcises generational karma on the world stage via multi-sensory ritual performance.
