Rather than try [and definitely fail] to list off the potential sources of rage and grief coming at our nervous systems, I’d like to offer some of
’s words from this morning’s Moonday Grounding on Soft Power TV.Nathaniel (
) prompted us with the question of “how are you connecting with your inner power through creativity these days?”Flo’s words were a powerful balm to me today as I sit with how far I’ve come in my journey of reconnecting with my voice and creative expression. I offer this to anyone who carries big emotions and sitting with how to develop a practice that both honors these stories while writing new stories of power, sensuality, and what it means to be of service to the collective:
My body holds generations of emotional memories — some that are mine from this lifetime, some that are my ancestors, some that are from past lives.
Slowing down and coming into my senses and sensuality through my mindful movement practices, I get to tap in and hold my inner child and younger self who felt powerless and disconnected from her voice, from her creative power, and practice her creativity and her imagination. She was very immobilized by shame and overwhelmed by emotions.
My practices involve so much somatic clearing so I can really drop into my body's wisdom. And then I challenge myself and give myself permission to use my voice and practice facilitating.
I'm reminded when I hear myself speak, when I hear myself get into that flow state: This is where my power resides and this is how I build self trust. I build self esteem through my rituals of connecting with my breath, my body, my senses, my voice and my heart and my spirit. And this is how I expand.
This is how I take up space with my frequency and with the Soft Power frequency which is rooted in courage, rooted in love, rooted in personal power, rooted in my sovereignty, rooted in authenticity and my purpose and medicine to serve.
So when I face my fears and I express myself and I alchemize these old stories and I release emotional memories of being shamed and judged and criticized for speaking — that's how I take back my power.
I have lots of notebooks, physical and electronic, of things that I aspire to share with people who resonate with my frequency, but I had to train and titrate and expand and heal and restore my nervous system and my voice.
This is my practice of coming into and connecting with my inner power, creativity and being in service.
PS. Flo is offering flash energy readings until 1/24
