I’ve loved seeing other Substacks pop up (its giving xanga/live journal vibes) and many incredible teachers and organizers launched projects and programs this week! There’s no shortage of opportunities to connect and learn and conspire and I’m already feeling into the joy of knowing how many people are committed to change.
One of the reasons we started Soft Power was to hold up a mirror for this community of changemakers. We all came to a timeline where we’ve had to undergo a lot of struggle to simply be ourselves, but we want to be a small part in reminding everyone that we are not alone. So many of you are creative visionaries that cycle between moments of clarity on your purpose and the confusion and grief of trying to survive in this world.
If your capacity has been low and you feel like you haven’t been doing enough, free yourself from manufactured timelines: your wave is coming. If you have been feeling overflowing with abundance and stepped in to share it with the rest of us, thank you for giving. If you’ve been giving to your own depletion, sending beams of strength and love to your voice so you may ask for and receive the support you need.
Liberation is a process of adjusting to reciprocity and divesting from linear and transactional ways of co-existing. The symbiotic give and take in our communities is what will pave the path out of this mess and to a more liberated present.
That’s the feeling we’re looking to cultivate with Soft Power. A place to walk, or stumble, forward together, at different paces, with reciprocity and care. All while laughing and stopping for naps and snacks and spiritual chismis. Our livestreams are peaks into that daily adventure of trying to make sense and pleasure of life, individually and together.
